About
Jacquie Chan
Owner of Poshlando Estate Sales & Auctions and Poshlando Realty, and a licensed auctioneer, working across Orlando and Central Florida.
Jacquelyn Chan, known as Jacquie, owns and leads Poshlando Estate Sales & Auctions, the personal-property, estate-sale, auction and estate-transition business serving Orlando and Central Florida, and she is a licensed auctioneer. Her work sits at the intersection of homes, collections and the families who are moving through a change in both.
Most of what she does begins the same way: a house, a deadline, and a set of contents that nobody has had the time or the distance to assess. Someone is downsizing. A property has been inherited by children who live elsewhere. A home is going on the market and has to be empty first. A collection has outgrown the person who built it. In each case the question is not simply what things are worth — it is what should happen to them, in what order, and by when.
How she works
Jacquie's approach is organizational before it is anything else. Contents are sorted into pathways rather than treated as a single pile: what belongs in an onsite estate sale, what should be routed to auction or a specialist channel, what warrants research before any price is put on it, what is better donated, and what should be set aside for the family. That sorting decision, made early, determines almost everything that follows — the calendar, the preparation, the audience and the result.
Presentation matters to her as much as logistics. A home that has been cleaned, staged and thoughtfully arranged sells its contents better and treats the family's history with more care than a house full of folding tables. So does clear, accurate description: saying what something is, what is known about it, and what is not.
As a licensed auctioneer
Holding an auctioneer's license shapes how Jacquie thinks about selling. An auction is a different market from a weekend estate sale — a different audience, a different set of mechanics, a different kind of preparation. Knowing when a piece or a group belongs in that market, and when it does not, is part of the service rather than an upsell.
It also defines the boundary of her role. Recognizing that an item may need research, authentication or a formal valuation is not the same as performing one. When a project calls for a qualified appraiser, an attorney, a CPA or a category specialist, that is said plainly and early.
Central Florida
The work is regional and hands-on. Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida communities have their own rhythms — seasonal residents, long-held family homes, downsizing moves into smaller communities, properties that have to be resolved from out of state. Being local means being able to walk a property, read the situation in person, and be there when the sale actually happens.
Two businesses, kept distinct
Jacquie also owns Poshlando Realty, which is separate from Poshlando Estate Sales & Auctions. Dr. Florence Alexander is Poshlando Realty's qualifying broker; Jacquie's ownership is not presented as a real-estate license or brokerage role. Terry Chan is a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate (SL3629564) affiliated with Poshlando Realty.
